Primary Grades Specialist

This badge is earned by successfully completing the Interpretive Thinking for Grades K–1 course. Participants in this interactive workshop are prepared to use Junior Great Books materials effectively in the primary classroom. Participants learn how to introduce young students to the basic principles of Shared Inquiry™ collaborative work on a text–listening, wondering, and sharing. They also learn how to conduct interpretive activities tailored to primary learners, including simple forms of discussion, drama, drawing, and writing.
